City of Yankton Recreation Superintendent
The City of Yankton
is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Recreation Superintendent in
the Parks & Recreation Department. This position plans, organizes,
promotes, and administers a comprehensive recreation program which includes
indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and aquatic activities and
experiences, supervises/manages events and activities at all park facilities and
the Summit Activities Center, and works with youth and adult sports/athletic
associations to support their programming.
A bachelor’s degree
in Recreation Management from an accredited university is required; along with
five years of recreation and aquatics management experience.
The annual salary for
the Recreation Superintendent is $35,069 - $41,258, plus fringe benefits.

RECREATION
SUPERVISOR

City of Spearfish is accepting applications for a full-time Parks/Recreation/Forestry Technician.
Responsibilities: Will maintain and manage the parks, campground, cemetery, urban forestry and cultural resources within the jurisdiction of the City of Spearfish.
Requirements: One to five years experience in parks operation/maintenance or a combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of this position. Candidate will be required to have/obtain a valid SD CDL Class 1B driving certificate and a high school diploma or GED certificate. Ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and concrete work.
